The Neshoba Valley Regional Dispatch District in North Central Massachusetts serves the 35,000 residents of 7 communities—The Towns of Berlin, Bolton, Boxborough, Harvard, Lancaster, and Lunenburg along with the Devens Community. As the 911 and dispatch center for police, fire, EMS, and the military police in Fort Devens, the team of 13 handled 11,600+ calls in 2024.

At Berrien County 911, dispatchers strive every day to make their community a better and safer place to live. The county in the southwestern corner of Michigan’s lower peninsula is home to nearly 153,000 people, who are served by 50 different police, fire, and EMS agencies.

The 911 center is staffed by 34 call takers and dispatchers with 5 to 10 on shift at a time. The employees exhibit incredible pride in the rewarding job, especially the sense of purpose it brings and the opportunity to help the community.

Autauga County 911: Xybix Consoles Make the Day a Little Bit Better

The Autauga County 911 dispatchers in central Alabama serve the 60,000+ residents of the City of Prattville and unincorporated Autauga County through voice calls and texts. The dispatchers work 12-hour shifts and manage thousands of calls, including 9,200 calls for the county sheriff’s office alone. Recently, the center replaced their old desks with modern Xybix consoles equipped with all the latest bells and whistles—personal fans, heaters, LED lighting, and more. The consensus: The customization options make their long shifts just a little bit better.

CENTER HIGHLIGHT: LETA

The Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority (LETA) has taken a significant step in strengthening emergency communications across Larimer County with the development of a new backup dispatch center located in Johnstown, Colorado.  This center was designed with the intent to support public safety agencies throughout the county by providing a fully functional alternative location in times of need. Whether due to call overload, technical disruptions, or the need for temporary relocation, agencies within the county will now have access to a reliable and modern facility to ensure uninterrupted service. As Larimer County continues to grow, the need for flexible and resilient emergency communication infrastructure has become increasingly clear. This new backup center addresses that need, offering both immediate relief in emergencies and long-term support for agency operations. Xybix is honored to have played a key role in bringing this critical resource to life. By helping to curate a space that is not only functional but adaptable for use by all county agencies, we remain committed to supporting the professionals who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

911 Dispatch Director Describes Design Process with Xybix

The Tompkins County 911 Center serves the 100,000+ people who live in this Upstate New York county. Although much of the county is rural, the County Seat of Ithaca is home to Ithaca College and Cornell University. The dispatch center handled nearly 140,000 calls in 2024 alone.
