Will you be looking at imaging desks at RSNA? If the answer to that question is yes, I recommend looking at all the major manufacturers, asking some appropriate questions and looking for some key differentiating features.
What were they thinking having the RSNA show in late November, on Thanksgiving weekend, and in Chicago? It might seem a bit strange, but the event organizers do this every year!
While the weather was beautiful last year, other years have been extremely cold and snowy. I know firsthand all about Chicago’s brisk weather because I was born and raised here, and I just moved back. Let's just say, you never know what you are going to get. It was so cold one year that the frigid weather created a sculpture of ice right off of the lake. Another year it was so windy and cold that the toll booth guy tore off the gate after it wasn’t working properly.
With another year of RSNA is behind us, we have had a weekend to rest up and now it is time to go back to work. With over 20 years of building and selling height adjustable desks for imaging centers and 24/7 markets I always like to cruise the show floor and see what is new each year at RSNA.
I previously wrote a blog highlighting which companies selling imaging desks will be at RSNA. If you are shopping for a new desk, the following advice should help get you to the right booth without wasting time.
Once you get to the booth and start talking to the helpful (pesky?) salesperson, what are some good questions to ask? If you are like me, you probably think of them after you’ve already walked away. Fortunately, I have put together some questions that will help you make your best decision.
There is no place like the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) to go shopping for new equipment for your radiology center. Whether you are involved with a huge hospital system or a small reading room, RSNA seems to have it all and then some. You can get hands-on with all of the latest technology to see what it can do to make your life better and improve the results for your patients. One major piece of that puzzle is choosing the best imaging desk for your reading room.
