With everything to see and do at RSNA 2019, it’s nearly impossible to reach every vendor or remember to ask all the questions that you've thoughtfully prepared. If purchasing Imaging Desks is on your agenda this year, we've put together a handy cheat sheet of vendor locations, functionality aspects, and questions to ask.
Healthcare professionals are the ones everyone turns to for life’s ailments, but this doesn’t make them immune to their own health risks.
With the advancements in technology and reading, radiologists have found themselves confined to long hours behind a desk and in front of computer screens. With this shift comes various visual and musculoskeletal problems that are related to excessive computer use.
Important news! Have you heard?
Anthro is discontinuing the manufacture
and sale of its imaging and radiology products. After December 31st Ergotron Anthro will no longer accept orders for Carl's Tables and Steve's Station.
Here is the letter that you may have received. To view it in it's entirety, click here.
You just received approval to purchase new monitors for your reading room. This is great news! Just when you think you’ve got the latest and greatest in technology, something even sharper, more innovative is released; it becomes increasingly more important to evaluate your equipment to ensure your older monitors aren’t negatively affecting patient outcomes or hindering doctors’ ability to formulate proper diagnoses.
Will you be looking at imaging desks at RSNA? If the answer to that question is yes, I recommend looking at all the major manufacturers, asking some appropriate questions and looking for some key differentiating features.
What were they thinking having the RSNA show in late November, on Thanksgiving weekend, and in Chicago? It might seem a bit strange, but the event organizers do this every year!
While the weather was beautiful last year, other years have been extremely cold and snowy. I know firsthand all about Chicago’s brisk weather because I was born and raised here, and I just moved back. Let's just say, you never know what you are going to get. It was so cold one year that the frigid weather created a sculpture of ice right off of the lake. Another year it was so windy and cold that the toll booth guy tore off the gate after it wasn’t working properly.
Whether this is your first project or your fortieth, the process of selecting a radiology imaging desk furniture manufacturer may seem overwhelming and you probably find yourself wondering where to even begin. With so many manufacturers out there – some you may have never heard of before – how do you figure out which is the perfect, durable, quality, cost-efficient sit to stand imaging desk that is going to knock it out of the park and earn you that well-deserved promotion, while having all of the doctors patting your back?
As an Healthcare professional, have you ever asked yourself how can I:
- Improve productivity in my department?
- Improve accuracy in my department?
- Decrease employee turnover?
- Improve health?
- Improve my departments bottom line?
- Increase ROI?

Time flies by from year to year and from trade show to trade show. I attend somewhere around 10 trade shows a year as a vendor and a couple as an attendee. As a vendor usually, a few weeks before the show, I start to dread going. This year, AHRA 2018 is in Orlando so I think to myself negative thoughts like 'man, it is going to be HOT in Orlando' or 'that's going to be a long flight, Ugh'. But, once the show is about a week away, for some reason my mindset flips, and I get excited to go. I guess this is because I do like going to the shows, meeting people and showing them all the cool stuff that we do. I will end up enjoying Orlando (mostly inside with the A/C) and I usually will partake in at least one good local restaurant.
