About a week ago, I was driving home when traffic suddenly slowed to a crawl. Moments later, police units sped past with sirens blasting and lights flashing. Scrolling through my local Facebook group later, I learned that a suspect had been located and apprehended thanks to a real-time crime center(RTCC) that spotted the vehicle on camera and relayed its location to officers on the street.

This center was designed with the intent to support public safety agencies throughout the county by providing a fully functional alternative location in times of need. Whether due to call overload, technical disruptions, or the need for temporary relocation, agencies within the county will now have access to a reliable and modern facility to ensure uninterrupted service. As Larimer County continues to grow, the need for flexible and resilient emergency communication infrastructure has become increasingly clear. This new backup center addresses that need, offering both immediate relief in emergencies and long-term support for agency operations. Xybix is honored to have played a key role in bringing this critical resource to life. By helping to curate a space that is not only functional but adaptable for use by all county agencies, we remain committed to supporting the professionals who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
