The Neshoba Valley Regional Dispatch District in North Central Massachusetts serves the 35,000 residents of 7 communities—The Towns of Berlin, Bolton, Boxborough, Harvard, Lancaster, and Lunenburg along with the Devens Community. As the 911 and dispatch center for police, fire, EMS, and the military police in Fort Devens, the team of 13 handled 11,600+ calls in 2024.
Recently, Director Anne Camaro spearheaded an upgrade to the center’s 10-year-old furniture, raising morale with the ergonomic consoles and the customizable lighting. She shared her experience purchasing from Xybix with the Director of Sales, Susanne Lottie, specifically mentioning:
- The Xybix sales team’s understanding of dispatch centers.
- The prompt assistance with samples and colors to create a great work environment.
- The seamless 1.5-day live cutover that allowed dispatchers to continue their heroic work.
- The introduction of sit-to-stand consoles that offer dispatchers the option to move around during 16-hour shifts.
- Improvements in workflow and morale.
When researching new consoles, Camaro advises other dispatch centers to “really take your time to do your research.” Nashoba Valley’s research paid off with new Xybix consoles that dispatchers appreciate: “They do love it and they enjoy all the nice features that it has.”
It’s never soon to start talking to Xybix about new consoles—even if the need and budget are two years out. We’re here to help!
