At Xybix headquarters, our team of engineers are continually improving upon our product with new ideas and options. End users are some of the most important people to use our product. If it weren’t for you, we might not understand the importance of individual heat and air control at a workstation, or even the need for individual lighting.
Over the years, our engineering department has listened to you, your ideas and your concerns. They have taken this feedback and come up with some great ideas to enhance your comfort at your workstation in a communication center. Antimicrobial worksurfaces and bias lighting are just a couple of items that Xybix has introduced over the past two years. This year, we are introducing acrylic shrouds. Now you’re asking, what are acrylic shrouds?
This past week while visiting Xybix in Littleton, CO, I took some time to visit the showroom floor. The showroom floor is always being updated with new ideas and products, and is a great way to see many different workstations and items you can add to a workstation. While walking the floor, I became intrigued with the all the new innovative ideas!
Acrylic shrouds are smoked, flat or curved surfaces that run behind your monitors and are attached to your movable monitor mount. You might ask yourself, “Why would I need this?” In many comm centers, not all of your consoles are backed up against a wall. Depending on the way your room is designed, you may walk up to the backside of your workstation as seen in this picture.
While all of our wiring is tightly managed with the use of an energy chain, see picture. It neatly runs along your movable monitor mount. An acrylic shroud will help to clean up the backside of your workstation and in addition will off-set each workstation, providing that touch of class that every comm center needs. If you look at the last picture, bias lighting and acrylic shrouds really go hand-in-hand with one another. Once again, our team of engineers did it again! Providing you, the end-user with a innovative product improvement!
